Our most recent purchases include a Heidelberg Spectralis® OCT (optical coherence tomography) and SonoSite portable ultrasound unit. OCT is the premier modality for producing detailed digital images of the retina and choroid in the back of the eye and is essential for preclinical studies on retinal disease, ocular devices, neuroprotection, and ocular toxicology. Ultrasound is best utilized for studies requiring non-invasive imaging of ocular implants and specific ocular pathology.
